Critical Illness Cover
You don’t need critical illness cover until you need it.
Then you may really need it, so talk to us at Venture Mortgage Management.
It’s worth thinking about how you would manage if a serious illness or sudden disability prevented you from working. If you are the main wage earner, the impact on your loved ones could be severe. And of course, State benefits may not cover your needs.
Like most insurance policies, you may think of critical illness cover as a “grudge purchase”. Like your council tax and bills, for example. We understand this. You’re in perfect health and plan to stay that way.
Most of us think that a stroke, heart attack or the development of a chronic condition is are things that happen to other people. Sadly not. Every year, millions of people in the UK face serious illness, injury or death – a challenging and stressful time for them and their families.
When it comes to health insurance, it’s essential to understand the details. Venture Mortgage Management can offer you advice on which policy provider is right for you and crucially, we’ll take you through all the small print. You need to know what’s covered (and what’s not). We’re on your side to make extra sure that you know where the policy boundaries lie.
Critical Illness Cover
Typically, you will be paid a lump sum should you be diagnosed with an illness that meets the definition set out in your policy. There are no conditions to the use of this payment. So, you’ll be able to maintain your living expenses, pay off your mortgage, or even take a trip to sunnier climes for some rest and relaxation.
Payment Protection Insurance is optional. There are other providers of Payment Protection Insurance and other products designed to protect you against loss of income.
